The Adelaide City Deal is a 10-year agreement between the Australian Government, the Government of South Australia and the City of Adelaide to grow Adelaide as an innovative and vibrant city. Governments are working together to deliver projects and initiatives that support the growth of businesses and jobs, encourage the growth of Adelaide’s population, and build on the city’s global reputation in the arts and culture.
Currently, Lot Fourteen is being rapidly transformed into the innovation capital of the nation, with the Australian Space Agency, SmartSat CRC, Mission Control and the Space Discovery Centre all to call Adelaide home.
The Adelaide City Deal also supports the establishment of an Innovation Hub, the Gallery for Aboriginal Art and Cultures, an International Centre for Food, Hospitality and Tourism Studies and an Indigenous Business Hub. The Governments’ 10-year, $551 million City Deal also includes investments in Adelaide beyond Lot Fourteen.
Join us to find out what this all really means for Adelaide, and what comes next now that the deal has been signed. Presenters will also discuss how to leverage opportunities created by the city deal to make the most for South Australia, as well as lessons learned from other city deals around the country.
